Euronext BEL20 Index: New divisors

Following the announced modification of the BEL 20® Index (D’Ieteren replaced by Compagnie Nationale à Portefeuille), the current divisors have to be replaced by the new divisors as published below from Thursday 2 March 2006 onwards:

The Eurex subsidiary Eurex Repo, one of the leading electronic repo market providers, announced on Tuesday that it will be making the new inflation-linked German Bund available for repo trading as soon as it is issued. The Federal Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday that it was to issue the first 10-year inflation-protected bond in the week commencing 6 March 2006. The bond will be traded on the Eurex Repo’s euro market, which Eurex Repo operates in addition to its Swiss franc repo market.

Deutsche Börse: 392 Billion Euros In Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In February

Based on the total turnover statistics, a total volume of €391,7 billion was traded on all German stock exchanges in February 2006 – a rise of 32 percent year-on-year (February 2005: €297 billion). This total included €350.1 billion in equities, warrants and exchange traded funds, as well as €41.6 billion in fixed-income securities.

CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today announced average daily volume in February was 4.7 million contracts, up 26 percent from the same period a year ago. Total monthly volume was more than 90 million contracts. The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced February 2006 average daily volume (ADV) increased 9 percent to 3,528,676 contracts, compared with 3,231,548 contracts in February 2005. In addition, Exchange volume for February climbed to its highest monthly total ever, reaching a record 67,044,843 contracts.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that trading volume for the month of February totaled 45.4 million contracts, an increase of 44% over February 2005. 108 Million Contracts Traded On Eurex In February, Up 7 Percent On 2005 - Trading And Open Interest In French And Italian Equity Options Increases Sharply - Single Stock Futures Continue To Gain Market Share

Eurex, the world's largest derivatives exchange, reported on Wednesday that it traded a total of 108 million contracts in February, an increase of approximately 7 percent on February 2005. Approximately 5.4 million contracts per day were traded. Open interest at Eurex also continued to rise; at 107 million contracts at the end of February it was 39 percent higher than the same period in the previous year (February 2005: 77 million contracts).
