Instinet Group Announces Second Quarter 2004 Results
Instinet Group Incorporated (Nasdaq:INGP) today announced net income of $8 million or $0.03 per share for the second quarter of 2004 compared to a net loss of $5 million or $(0.02) per share for the second quarter of 2003 and net income of $19 million or $0.06 per share for the first quarter of 2004. HKEx: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling
The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 2 August 2004 (Monday), eight additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 21 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 229 after the revision.

Futures & Options On The RTS Stock Exchange Derivatives Market
For the week of July 19th – July 23th, 2004, total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) increased by 32% in rubles and 29% in contracts and reached 796 thousand contracts and 6 066 million rubles. Total open interest as of July 23rd, 2004, increased by 2% in rubles and 4% in contracts and equaled 6 559 million rubles and 850 thousand contracts.

Dow Jones Indexes, China Business Network To Launch Broad China Index
Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, and China Business Network Co. Ltd. (CBN), a leading professional financial-media company, today announced the creation of the Dow Jones CBN China 600 Index, a broad Chinese benchmark index. The index, which will be launched in September 2004, covers companies listed at the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

CBOT Dow News & Highlights: July 19-23, 2004
On Tuesday, July 20th, two days before earnings were to be announced, Microsoft surprised investors by serving shareholders a special, one-time $3.00 dividend along with other quarterly dividend enhancements. Relieved the company decided to finally lighten their conservative cash position, the market bid Microsoft shares higher. But, unable to maintain positive momentum, shares fell 3.34% on Friday reflecting earnings which came in a penny per share lower than expectations

CBOE Adds November Expiration Options In Several Major Indexes
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, today announced that options with November expirations are now available for trading in the S&P 500 Index (SPX), Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJX), and DIAMONDS Trust (DIA) option classes.
