Deutsche Börse To Launch Trading With Mutual Funds On 19 May - Segment Will Initially Contain Approx. 2,600 Actively Managed Funds - Trading To Be Conducted On The Floor

Deutsche Börse will launch trading with actively managed mutual funds on 19 May. Initially, the new segment will contain around 2,600 funds to be traded in the Open Market at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. These exchange-traded mutual funds will further expand Deutsche Börse’s successful product range which currently comprises actively- and passively-managed index funds.

CME Introduces Incentive Program To Increase Electronic Trading Of CME Eurodollar Options

To increase electronic trading of CME Eurodollar options, CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today announced it will launch an incentive program for members and lessees who trade CME Eurodollar options on the CME Globex(R) electronic trading platform. The program becomes effective Monday, May 1, 2006, and extends through the end of the year.

CBOT Metals Complex Sets Daily Volume Record - Exchange’s Silver Futures Continue Record-Breaking Week With New Volume Records For Total Complex, Full And Mini-Sized Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that its Precious Metals complex achieved a new record on Tuesday, April 11, as daily volume climbed to 42,983 contracts. The previous record, 40,388 contracts, was set on March 30, 2006.

CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) Options Set New Volume And Open Interest Record - More Than 50,500 Contracts Traded; Open Interest Over 234,000 Contracts

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that volume in the recently launched options on the CBOE Volatility Index, "VIX" (options ticker symbol VIX), totaled 50,522 contracts yesterday, Monday, April 11, 2006, beating the previous record of 31,481contracts, set on March 29th. Open interest also set a new high mark, with 234,417 open positions at the start of trading on Tuesday. VIX options were launched February 24, 2006.

BM&F Promotes Brazilian Carbon Market During IDB Meeting In Minas Gerais

BM&F promoted its Carbon Facility and the carbon credit trading system during the seminar “Developing the carbon market and the agro-energy sector”, which took place on April 2nd, in Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais. BM&F’s Carbon Facility was implemented last year as part of the Brazilian Carbon Market, and the carbon credit trading system is being structured. UK's Financial Services Authority Fines Deutsche Bank £6.3million And Mr David Maslen £350,000 For Market Misconduct

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today imposed a penalty of £6,363,643 on Deutsche Bank AG (Deutsche). The penalty was levied for breaching FSA Principle 5, by failing to observe proper standards of market conduct, and Principle 2, by failing to conduct its business with due skill, care and diligence.

The Spanish Exchange Trades 113 New Warrants Issued By Societé Genérale - New Issues On The Spanish Stock Market So Far This Year Stand At 1,098

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 113 new warrants issued by Société Générale. The new issues bring the total figure so far this year to 1,098. The new issues are linked to domestic and foreign shares, international indices, commodities and baskets of shares.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces March Volume - “Phlx Continues As The Third Largest Marketplace For Options”

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that equity option volume in March jumped 78.55% when 20,483,235 contracts traded compared to the same period last year when 11,471,847 contracts traded. The Exchange garnered 13.60% equity options market share in March making it the third largest market center for options for the fifth month in a row.
