The 2006 Borsa Italiana roadshow kicked off in New York on Monday 3 April, with the Italian Investor Conference. It was the first of a series of events which aim to promote Italian companies listed on the Exchange among the international financial community, all through 2006.

Thai Bourse Discontinues Rehabco Sector, Reinstates Firms With Conditions

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) resolved today to discontinue the Rehabco Sector. Companies in the sector will be reinstated to their normal sectors, but most will have both “C” (Compliance) sign attached, showing that they have not yet reached SET standards. Any company that doesn’t qualify for reinstatement despite having been in Rehabco for over two years will be removed from trading boards and classified as ‘Non-performing’. Record Volumes On Sydney Futures Exchange

Sydney Futures Exchange experienced the largest monthly transacted volume in its history in March with 8.74 million contracts traded. This represents an increase of 43% from the comparable period in 2005 and an increase of 12% from the previous record of 7,821,500 set in September 2005. Similar to the previous records, the March volumes coincided with the quarterly benchmark expiry of the equity and interest rate futures contracts.
