Liquidnet Europe Selects Markit BOAT

Markit, a leading provider of independent data, portfolio valuations and OTC derivatives trade processing, today announced that Liquidnet Europe Limited (“Liquidnet Europe”), one of Europe’s largest ‘dark pools’ of liquidity and TradeTech European Award winner for Best Overall Execution Venue, has chosen Markit BOAT as its preferred trade reporting platform. Liquidnet Europe is the third Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) to join Markit BOAT since its launch on 1 November 2007.

KRX Opens Beijing Representative Office

On April 24, 2008, Korea Exchange (KRX) held an opening ceremony of its Beijing representative office at the JW Marriot Hotel. KRX was the fourth Exchange to receive a regulatory approval from the Chinese government in November, 2007.

The SWX participant Société Générale, Paris, has violated provisions of the SWX Swiss Exchange on the registration and deputisation of traders. The Sanction Commission of the SWX Swiss Exchange has imposed a fine of CHF 30’000 against Société Générale, Paris, and ordered that the sanction should be published.

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE), today announced that trading volume during April 2008 totaled 103,438 contracts, an increase of 148% over the April 2007 volume of 41,644 contracts.Average daily volume during April was 4,701 contracts, up 126% over the 2,082 contracts per day during April 2007.
