    PLUS Markets Group today posted its trading activity for the month. In July, reported flow on PLUS was up year-on-year. Bargains increased 73% at 619,738 while trade value rose 67% to £4.69bn and the number of shares rose 129% to almost 5bn (4.85bn) compared with the same month in 2008.

    The daily price limits will change from August 17, 2009. Soybeans will be expanded to 2,700yen. Non-GMO Soybeans will be expanded to 2,700yen. Raw sugar will be remained to 1,500yen.

  • European Central Bank: Update Of The Assessment Of Securities Settlement Systems And Their Links

    The Eurosystem, which comprises the European Central Bank (ECB) and the 16 national central banks of the euro area, has conducted a comprehensive assessment of all securities settlement systems (SSSs) and the links currently used for the collateralisation of Eurosystem credit operations. This assessment was made on the basis of the “Standards for the use of EU securities settlement systems in ESCB credit operations”, published in 1998.

    Bursa Malaysia welcomes double `firsts' of the listings of its inaugural Islamic securities, also known as sukuk together with the conventional debt securities/bond by Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) and Cagamas MBS Berhad (Cagamas MBS). Both companies are listing their sukuk and conventional bonds on the Exchange today.
