Quarterly Rebalancing For The S&P Japan 500, S&P/TOPIX 150, S&P Japan MidCap 100, S&P Japan SmallCap 250 And S&P Global 100 Indices
Standard & Poor’s as part of the quarterly rebalancing, will change the shares outstanding for the S&P Japan 500 and its sub-indices effective after the close of trading Thursday, March 19, 2009. New shares outstanding can be downloaded in Excel format using the link below. Companies that are constituents of the S&P Global 100 are denoted by an asterisk. There will be no additions and deletions on their constituents. Click here for the list.

Direct Edge Exceeds 10% Matched Market Share - Record Day With Even Greater Share In Active Stocks
Direct Edge achieved matched market share of 10.10% yesterday, surpassing the 10% threshold for the first time. Direct Edge also set a new all-time single-day record for handled market share, with 17.23% of all U.S. equity trading volume. Direct Edge handled 2.117 billion shares and matched 1.241 billion shares on its trading platforms yesterday.

NYSE Liffe Announces 30th March Launch For Commodities On Bclear
NYSE Liffe, the global derivatives business of NYSE Euronext (NYX), announced today that it will launch a range of soft commodity products on its pioneering Bclear (OTC derivatives) service on 30 March. The move further develops Bclear, which was launched in 2005, into a multi-asset class platform. Individual equity and index contracts, and credit default swaps, are already available on Bclear.

ComfortDelGro Corporation And SMRT Corporation To Join Straits Times Index After Half-Yearly Index Review
Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) and FTSE Group (FTSE) announced today the results of the half-yearly review of the Straits Times Index (STI) and FTSE ST Index Series. ComfortDelGro Corporation and SMRT Corporation will join the STI in place of Yanlord Land Group and Keppel Land.

HKEx Proposes To Suspend Securities Market's CAS From 23 March
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) aims to suspend the Closing Auction Session (CAS) in its securities market from Monday, 23 March 2009 subject to the approval of the necessary rule amendments by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and market readiness.
