Japan's Financial Services Agency: “The Action Plan For The New Growth Strategy”

With regard to the Interim Draft for “The Action Plan for the New Growth Strategy”, which was published on December 7, 2010, the Financial Services Agency (FSA) held meetings to exchange opinions with market participants and others and received a number of opinions. The FSA also invited opinions through its website, resulting in a total of 177 opinions being received from 65 individuals and groups.

Tokyo Stock Exchange: Expansion Of The Number Of Strike Prices For Options On JGB Futures

TSE will partially revise the trading rules in the first half of fiscal year 2011 to expand the number of strike prices for options on JGB futures in order to respond to diverse trading needs. These revisions will include changing the strike price interval to 0.5 yen from the current 1 yen.

ICEX Launches Iron Ore Futures Contract On Saturday, January 29

Mumbai based Indian Commodity Exchange (ICEX) has received permission from Forward Markets Commission (FMC), commodity futures market regulator, to commence futures trading in Iron Ore Futures (IOF) contracts on January 29, 2011.

New Version Of The Clearing Rules Of RTS Clearing Center Takes Effect On February 14, 2011

As of February 14, 2011 a new version of the Clearing rules of Joint-stock company "RTS Clearing Center" will enter into force. The new rules were approved on December 27, 2010 and registered at the Federal Financial Market Service on January 27, 2011.
