The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today released a consultation paper on proposed regulation of credit rating agencies (CRAs). In line with global developments and to conform with international standards and practices, MAS is proposing to regulate activities conducted by CRAs. This is to ensure that Singapore remains an attractive location for CRAs to operate in.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company today became the first Vietnamese company to list on the London Stock Exchange. The company, which raised $56.5m on admission to the Exchange's Professional Securities Market ["PSM"], is also the first Vietnamese incorporated company to issue equity outside Vietnam. The company's GDRs will be traded on the London Stock Exchange's international order book, with Deutsche Bank acting as the custodian and depositary.

SGX Contributes To Japan Relief Efforts

Singapore Exchange (SGX) will donate all clearing fees received for the trading of all Nikkei products on SGX for trade date Friday 25 March, towards the Japan Disaster Relief. The SGX suite of Nikkei products are namely, the Yen-denominated Nikkei futures and options, USD-denominated Nikkei futures, Mini Nikkei futures and Nikkei Dividend futures.
