  • ISE Is First Options Exchange To List Additional Near-Term Expiration Months For Most Actively Traded Options Classes

    The International Securities Exchange (ISE) announced today that it has expanded the number of expiration months available for 20 of the most actively traded options classes on its exchange. ISE pioneered the pilot program, which allows all US options exchanges to list up to two additional, consecutive expiration months. Each options exchange can select up to 20 options classes for the pilot.

    Share Trading in October The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.6 billion, as compared to EUR 2.5 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 294,397 as compared to 277,411 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 749 billion, compared to EUR 583 billion in October 2009.

    A new A-type investment fund, namely “Finansbank A.S. GT-30 A Tipi Borsa Yatirim Fonu” (A-type Exchange Traded Fund), founded by Finansbank will start trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) on November 3, 2010.

  • Dalian Commodity Exchange Monthly Statistics - October 2010

    Total trading volume at the Dalian Commodity Exchange, China's leading agricultural and plastics exchange, for the month of October was 84,707,320 contracts, an increase of 75% compared to October 2009. Average daily volume for this period was 5.29 million contracts. Trading turnover totaled CNY 4.404 trillion, an increase of 111.01% over October 2009.
