Bank Of England And HM Treasury Funding For Lending Scheme – 2014 Q1 Usage And Lending data

The Bank has today published data on the use of the Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) showing, for each group participating in the FLS Extension, the net quarterly flows of lending to UK businesses1 in the first quarter of 2014 and the amount borrowed from the Bank during February and March.

Singapore Accounting Standards Council And SGX Say Singapore-Listed Companies To Embrace Full Convergence With IFRS In 2018

The Singapore Accounting Standards Council (ASC) today said Singapore-incorporated companies listed on Singapore Exchange (SGX) will apply a new financial reporting framework identical to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in 2018. SGX will work closely with the ASC to engage Singapore-listed companies on the transition to the new framework.

The new FTSE ASEAN Index Series includes the FTSE ASEAN All-Share Index as the broad headline benchmark representing 90-95% of the investable market capitalisation in the region.  The existing FTSE ASEAN Index Series was originally initiated in partnership with the ASEAN Finance Ministers to promote ASEAN as a regional equity market grouping. It included the first benchmarks designed to support the creation of financial products and benchmarking requirements for ASEAN investment needs.

Reference to what has been circulated about imposing taxes on capital gains achieved in the Egyptian Exchange, ministry of finance confirmed that the calculation of the tax on profits will be on the net value of the market capitalization portfolio by the end of year, compared to its value at the date of approving that law regardless of the purchase date preceding this law, taking into consideration to relay any losses achieved by the investor for the coming 3 years.
