Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Freezing Injunction Against Greencool’s Ex-Chairman Extended Pending SFC Proceedings

The Court of First Instance today granted an order for the interim freezing injunction against Mr Gu Chujun (Gu), the former chairman and chief executive officer of Greencool Technology Holdings Limited, to continue until the conclusion of the section 213 proceedings commenced by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) against Gu in June 2014.

Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Exchanges Connectivity Mechanism Sets Sail For Two-way Opening-Up Of China’s Capital Market

On November 10, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) announced that the pilot program of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Exchanges Connectivity Mechanism (SHSECM) will be launched on November 17. On the same day, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) released the notice of the launch of the SHSECM pilot program, the notice of strengthening the information disclosure work of SSE-listed companies involved in the SHSECM business and relevant issues, and the notice of releasing the “Implementation Guide to Participation of Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Ltd. (HKSCC) in Online Voting of Listed Companies Involved in Program of Buying and Selling Stocks of SSE-listed Companies”; besides, China Investment Information Services Ltd. (CIIS), as the securities trading service company (a SPV company for the program of buying and selling shares listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. [SEHK]) established by the SSE, issued the list of the first batch of securities companies participating in the business of the SEHK-listed shares tradable for investors in China’s Mainland (the “Gang’gutong” shares), the list of the “Gang’gutong” shares, the arrangement for the trading days in 2014 for the “Gang’gutong” shares, and the notice on collecting the routing service charge for the orders of the “Gang’gutong” shares.

Bank Of China Authorised As Trading And Clearing Participant At Deutsche Börse

The Bank of China today received authorisation via its Frankfurt branch office as a trading and clearing participant on the Deutsche Börse Group cash market. This will provide Chinese issuers and Asian investors with direct access to the German and European capital markets. The Bank of China Frankfurt Branch is the first Chinese clearing participant at Deutsche Börse based in the euro area.

GMEX Group And Tradition Announce Strategic Partnership - Prices From The Trad-X Platform Will Facilitate The GMEX Exchange - USD Interest Rate Swap Futures Launch

Global Derivatives Indices (GDI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Markets Exchange Group International LLP (GMEX Group), today announced a strategic partnership with Tradition, the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition, to use prices from Trad-X to calculate a new USD version of GDI’s Constant Maturity Index (CMI). This will underpin the GMEX interest rate swap (IRS) Constant Maturity Futures (CMF) contracts.
