Japan’s Securities And Exchange Surveillance Commission: Recommendations For Administrative Monetary Penalty Payment Order For Violation Of Disclosure Requirements By Sanei Architecture Planning Co. Ltd. And By A Large-Volume Holder Of The Shares Of The Company

1. Contents of the Recommendations
The Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission, today, made the following recommendations to the prime minister and the commissioner of the Financial Services Agency pursuant to Article 20(1) of the Act for Establishment of the Financial Services Agency:
(1) that an administrative monetary penalty payment order be issued in regard to misstatements on material issues by SANEI ARCHITECTURE PLANNING CO.LTD., and
(2) that an administrative monetary penalty payment order be issued in regard to misstatements on material issues by a Large-Volume Holder of the shares of the company.
These recommendations are based on the findings of the disclosure statements inspection of the company, whereby the following violations of laws and ordinances were identified. -

SIX Launches Swiss Trade Repository

SIX is to establish a central trade repository for derivative transactions in cooperation with Swiss banks. This will enhance the transparency and traceability of derivative transactions, in accordance with regulatory requirements, and help improve financial market stability. The Swiss Financial Market Infrastructure Act (FMIA), which is currently in consultation, represents the legal basis for the creation of a trade repository.

New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority Confirms Settlement With Strategic Finance Directors And Auditors

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and the Receivers of Strategic Finance Limited (Strategic), John Fisk and Colin McCloy of PwC, have today announced that they have finalised a settlement with the directors and auditors of Strategic. Under the terms of the settlement the directors and auditors will pay to the Receivers of Strategic $22 million. This will enable the Receivers to make a further distribution to investors.

In May the equities market’s (BOVESPA segment) financial volume totaled BRL 133.83 billion against BRL 150.11 billion in April. The daily average was BRL 6.37 billion against BRL 7.50 billion in the previous month. The total number of trades in May was 17,481,365 against 19,724,219 in April. Daily average number of trades was 832,446 against 986,211 in April.

CFTC Staff Issues Extension To Time-Limited No-Action Letter On The Applicability Of Transaction-Level Requirements In Certain Cross-Border Situations

U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC or Commission) Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight (DSIO), Division of Clearing and Risk, and Division of Market Oversight (Divisions) today issued a time-limited no-action letter that extends relief to swap dealers (SDs) registered with the Commission that are established under the laws of jurisdictions other than the United States (Non-U.S. SDs) from certain transaction-level requirements under the Commodity Exchange Act.
