STOXX Minimum Variance Indices Licensed To Resona Bank In Japan - Indices To Be Used In Passive Funds Used By Japanese Pension Funds

STOXX Limited, a leading provider of innovative, tradable and global index concepts, today announced that two STOXX Minimum Variance indices have been licensed to Resona Bank to be used in passive funds that will be used by Japanese pension funds. The STOXX Minimum Variance Indices use Harry M. Markowitz’s Nobel Prize winning Modern Portfolio Theory to create a hypothetical, risk-optimized portfolio, which is based on a variety of STOXX indices.

UK's Financial Conduct Authority Finalises Rules To Improve The Protection Of Client Money And Custody Assets

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today finalised changes to the client money and custody assets (client assets) rules. These changes affect approximately 1,500 FCA regulated firms that carry out investment business, from the largest investment banks to the smallest investment advisor, who collectively hold over £100bn of client money and £10tn of custody assets.

Shanghai Stock Exchange: Cementing Regulation On Companies On Risk Alert Board

On June 6, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) held a 2014 training meeting for companies on the risk alert board, in a bid to timely carry out the work of preventing delisting risks and protect investors’ interests. It is stressed at the meeting that the companies on the risk alert board will be urged to fully disclose information about delisting risks and relevant progresses. Besides, compliance of the companies with major risks in their previous information disclosures will be rechecked.

Eurex Group Concentrates Commodity Trading On One Platform - Trading In Agricultural Products To Be Launched On EEX In 2015

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) and Eurex Exchange have jointly decided to concentrate trading in agricultural derivatives within EEX, in which Eurex holds a majority interest of 62,57 percent. The move will give customers access to a large and standardised offering of commodity derivatives contracts via one platform.

SFAT Affirms Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Decision To Suspend Jenny Chan Pik Ha

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has suspended Ms Jenny Chan Pik Ha for four months from 9 June 2014 to 8 October 2014 following the determination of the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal (SFAT) to uphold the SFC’s decision to suspend her licence but reducing the period of suspension from six months to four months.
