BISX Says Thank You To Long-Serving Director

The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) recently paused to show gratitude to a long standing former BISX Board Member. Dr. Earl Cash a Partner at the law firm Higgs and Johnson served as a BISX director for over 14 years having been appointed in October 2001 and having retired from the Board in November 2015.

CME Group Announces Record FX Futures And Options Volume

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced it reached a trading volume record for total FX futures and options yesterday, March 10, of 2,517,334 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 2,371,202 by 6 percent set on May 6, 2010. FX futures also set a new record of 2,350,478 surpassing the previous record of 2,208,417 on May 6, 2010.

A turnover of 1.111 billion shares worth N7.448 billion in 15,562 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 1.476 billion shares valued at N7.992 billion that exchanged hands last week in 15,743 deals.
