UK Serious Fraud Office And Standard Bank - Deferred Prosecution Agreement Hearing

A proposal to enter into a Deferred Prosecution Agreement ("DPA") with Standard Bank Plc (now known as ICBC Standard Bank Plc), has already been approved in principle by Lord Justice Leveson. On Monday, 30th November 2015, the SFO will apply for final approval of the DPA before the same judge at Southwark Crown Court, sitting at the Royal Courts of Justice.

ESMA And SFC To Exchange Information On Derivative Contracts Held In Trade Repositories

UK's Financial Conduct Authority Consults On Changes To PPI Complaint Handling Rules

In a statement published on 2 October 2015, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) stated that we would consult on introducing a deadline for making payment protection insurance (PPI) complaints, accompanied by a consumer communications campaign, and on new rules and guidance for handling PPI complaints in light of the Supreme Court’s decision in Plevin v Paragon Personal Finance Ltd.
