GFMA, IIF, ISDA, JFMC And TCH Respond To The Basel Consultation On Leverage Ratio

The Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA), the Institute of International Finance (IIF), the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), the Japan Financial Markets Council (JFMC) and The Clearing House (TCH) today responded to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s (BCBS) consultation on Revisions to the Basel III leverage ratio framework (Proposed Framework). European Parliament: ECON Committee Is Satisfied That Vice-President Dombrovskis Is In A Position To Assume The Financial Stability, Financial Services And Capital Markets Union

Following a hearing at the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON Committee), a large majority of ECON Coordinators were satisfied that Vice-President Dombrovskis is in a position to assume the portfolio that is transferred to him and look forward to a strong leadership in a key file for the stability of the EU and the prosperity of EU citizens.

Canadian Securities Regulators Propose Changes To Custody And Other Requirements For Dealers, Advisers And Investment Fund Managers

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published proposed amendments to National Instrument 31-103 Registration Requirements, Exemptions and Ongoing Registrant Obligations (NI 31-103) and National Instrument 33-109 Registration Information. The amendments include proposals to enhance custody requirements for certain registrants, clarify activities that may be conducted by exempt market dealers and incorporate relief from certain Client Relationship Model Phase 2 (CRM2) requirements into NI 31-103.

Canadian Securities Regulators Publish Consultation Paper On Margin And Collateral Requirements For Non-Centrally Cleared Derivatives

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published for comment CSA Consultation Paper 95-401 Margin and Collateral Requirements for Non-Centrally Cleared Derivatives. The Consultation Paper proposes a framework for the calculation and exchange of margin and collateral relating to non-centrally cleared derivatives.

UK's Financial Conduct Authority: Temporary Prohibition Of Short Selling - Credito Valtellinese sc, Telecom Italia spa

The Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) notifies that it temporarily prohibits short selling in the following instruments under Articles 23 (1) of Regulation (EU) No 236/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2012. This follows a decision made by another EU Competent Authority.
