CFTC Transitions Its Public Comment Submission Process To Regulations.gov

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced the Commission’s public comment submission process has transitioned to Regulations.gov. Members of the public who wish to submit comments electronically on all CFTC rulemaking proposals and other CFTC comment requests issued on or after today must go to Regulations.gov.

CFTC Sues Wisconsin To Reaffirm Its Exclusive Jurisdiction Over Prediction Markets

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission filed a lawsuit against Wisconsin in response to the state’s lawsuits against Kalshi, Polymarket, Crypto.com, Robinhood, and Coinbase, five CFTC-regulated prediction markets. Less than one week ago, Wisconsin filed civil suits against the companies, asserting felony violations of state law.

Good morning, and thank you all for attending today’s meeting. Before diving into the topic du jour I would like to take a moment to commend this Committee on its recently approved recommendation on finders, which builds on past Committee work.[1] In particular, I appreciate the recommendation’s principles-based approach. High-level ideas can be more effective at informing commission thinking as we work through the minutiae of potential new rules. Your in-the-weeds discussions of recommendations are, however, very helpful. Over the weekend, I went back and watched the Committee’s most recent discussion on finders. What stood out is the recognition that a broker-dealer framework is inapt for small raises in which a community member is making introductions. This activity is distinct from broker-dealer activity.

The EBA Updates List Of Correlated Currencies

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today the 2026 update of the list of closely correlated currencies, which is used for the calculation of capital requirements for foreign exchange risk under the standardised approach. The update has been carried out in line with the methodology and procedure set out in the applicable Implementing Technical Standards (ITS). The revised list has been submitted to the European Commission for endorsement.
