The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today convicted and sentenced a former employee of an investment bank for insider trading in the shares of PacificMas Bhd (PacificMas). Lim Bun Hwa, 42, was sentenced to six months jail and fined RM 1 million after he pleaded guilty today to five charges of insider trading under section 188(2)(a) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.

ACER: Gas Wholesale Market Integration Continues, Modest Decrease Of Average Retail Prices For Households

The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) publishes today two volumes of the latest joint ACER-CEER Annual Report on the Results of Monitoring the Internal Electricity and Natural Gas Markets: the gas wholesale and the first part of the retail volumes. Among other findings, the reports indicate that in general the security of supply of the European gas system is high and that in 2017 prices for households in the EU decreased on average for the second year in a row for both electricity and gas.
