TradingTech Awards Shortlist Velocimetrics For ‘Best Time-Stamping/Latency Measurement System’ And ‘Best Trading Infrastructure Monitoring Platform’

Velocimetrics, leading in-stream analytics and data lineage FinTech firm, is announcing today its shortlisting for two categories in the TradingTech Awards Europe 2020. The two categories are the ‘Best Time-stamping/Latency Measurement System’, which recognises vendors of solutions for measuring messaging latency across trading networks and infrastructures, and the ‘Best Trading Infrastructure Monitoring Platform’ recognising vendors which provide performance monitoring and troubleshooting solutions for trading infrastructures.

UK Financial Conduct Authority Secures Confiscation Order Totalling £5 Million Against Illegal Money Lender

On 11 December 2019, Southwark Crown Court made a confiscation order against Dharam Prakash Gopee in the sum of £5,118,018.72. The effect of the order is to confiscate all his criminal proceeds as an illegal money lender. Mr Gopee was also ordered to pay almost £230,000 in compensation to consumers.

International Ownership At Its Highest Level Since The Financial Crisis - Non-Norwegian Investors Now Own 39.3% Of Equities Listed At Oslo Børs, Which Is The Highest Level Since 2008

Non-Norwegian investors’ appetite for shares in companies listed at Oslo Børs has grown steadily for the last decade. During the financial crisis international investors abandoned Norwegian equities, and the proportion of the equity market owned by non-Norwegian investors fell from over 40% to a low of 31.6% in February 2009.

UK Financial Conduct Authority Asks For Proposals On How Open Finance Could Transform Financial Services

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today launched a Call for Input (CfI) on the opportunities presented by so-called open finance. Open finance builds on the principles of open banking the sharing of data which provides new ways for customers and businesses to make the most of their money. Open finance would extend those principles to a wider range of products.
