Vienna Stock Exchange Is Now CO2-Neutral

Through a new cooperation with Climate Austria, Wiener Börse is taking an important step towards protecting our climate. In addition to existing sustainability activities, unavoidable CO2 emissions will now be offset by supporting climate protection projects (75% Austrian, 25% international projects). According to Climate Austria, the projects meet the standard of domestic environmental funding of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK). The international climate protection projects comply with internationally recognized standards such as the Gold Standard.

New hedge fund liquidations fell to a record low in 3Q as total industry capital surpassed the historic $4 trillion milestone to begin 4Q21, according to the latest HFR Market Microstructure Report, released today by HFR®, the established global leader in the indexation, analysis and research of the global hedge fund industry. Hedge fund liquidations fell to only 102, the lowest total since 2Q 2006, as investors maintained or increased positions in existing hedge funds, driven by the uncertain macroeconomic environment including rising inflation, increased government spending, tapering of Federal Reserve bond purchases and the impact of Omicron coronavirus variant.
