Kansas City Board Of Trade Changes Wheat Daily Price Limits

Effective Monday, October 9, the Kansas City Board of Trade is changing the daily price limit for its hard red winter wheat futures contract. The new limit will be 30 cents per bushel above or below the previous day's settlement price, replacing the current limit of 25 cents.

Eurex Worldwide Market Leader In Options On Nokia - Eurex Cooperation Model With HEX Is Successful

Trading volume has increased sharply in the products of HEX, the Finnish derivatives exchange, since their most liquid derivatives were transferred to the Eurex platform. This is particularly clear, as the two exchanges reported, from the option on Nokia shares, for which Eurex is now the leading marketplace worldwide. With a market share of about 40 percent, Eurex ranks well ahead of the other five trading places for Nokia options in the United States and Sweden.

CBOT® Contract Volume Tops Two Million In First Month Of Trading On A/C/E - 30-Year Treasury Bond Contract Surpasses One Million Mark

In just one month, CBOT® members traded more than two million contracts on the new electronic trading platform a/c/e, alliance/cbot/eurex, the Chicago Board of Trade reported today. As of yesterday, overall a/c/e volume reached 2,107,166 contracts, with the average daily trading volume on a/c/e rising to 95,780 contracts. Contract volume on a/c/e exceeded one million contracts after only 12 days.

CME Domestic Stock Indexes To Settle At Fair Value, Close Early At End Of Quarter On Friday, Sept. 29

Following its new quarter-end settlement procedure, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will close its domestic equity index futures contracts 10 minutes early at the end of the quarter, Friday, Sept. 29, and revise its daily settlement procedures to reflect a “fair value” settlement price.
