Regular quarterly revision of price limits for equity index futures and options traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) become effective with the start of trading on the GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system on Sunday, Oct.1, 2000, at 5:30 p.m. (Chicago time).

Rainer Riess To Succeed Josef Nägel As Head Of Neuer Markt

Josef Nägel (40), who as Head of Primary Markets at Deutsche Börse has been responsible for Neuer Markt and for the SMAX small-cap segment, is leaving the firm at the end of September. He will be succeeded by Rainer Riess (34), who has been working for Deutsche Börse since January, 1995. Riess was most recently Senior Project Manager and in 1996 and 1997 he was a member of the project team that designed and launched Neuer Markt.

European Energy Exchange - 377,668 Megawatt Hours Of Electricity Traded In September

EEX, the European Energy Exchange, reported its turnover figures for September on Friday: 377,668 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity were traded at EEX in September. This corresponds to an increase of 23 percent compared with the previous month (305.952 MWh).

Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Revision In Buying-In Fees

From 1 October 2000, brokerage rates will be fully negotiable for all transactions on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading (SGX-ST). The buying-in brokerage, however, will be maintained at the current rate of 0.75%, subject to a minimum brokerage of S$10 per trade of 500 or more units and S$3 per trade for less than 500 units.

SGX - Changes In Procedure For Opening Securities Accounts Local And Overseas Investors To Benefit

Effective immediately, investors can benefit from several changes in the procedure for the opening of direct securities accounts with The Central Depository (Pte) Ltd [CDP]. The key changes are: a.
