New Open Interest Record For NYBOT'S Cocoa Options Contract

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®)announced today an all-time Open Interest record for its Cocoa Options market of 92,803 contracts set on Tuesday, October 1, 2002. This record replaces the previous Options Open Interest record of 91,679 contracts set on February 3, 2000.

Instinet Group Incorporated (Nasdaq: INET) announced that Matthew Andresen, President and Chief Executive Officer of its Island ECN subsidiary, will be leaving Island today to accept a new job at another company. Euronext.liffe - €133 Billion Worth Of Business Year-To-Date

Euronext.liffe, the derivatives business of Euronext, has traded a total of 532 million contracts from January to end September 2002, up 20% on the same period last year. In terms of nominal value of business, Euronext.liffe has traded €133 billion worth of business year-to-date, more than double its nearest electronic competitor.
