  • CBOE Index Volume Up 55% - DJX And SPX Lead Gains

    Index volume continued strong growth in February at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Total index option volume at CBOE increased by 55% to 6,385,516 contracts from 4,119,189 contracts in February 2001. Open interest in all CBOE index options stood at 9,336,687 contracts (4,419,566 calls and 4,917,121 puts) at the end of February, an increase of 122% versus February 2001 when open interest stood at 4,212,555 contracts.

The Company has a right to a review of this determination by a Committee of the Board of Directors of the Exchange (the "Committee"). Application to the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist the issue is pending the completion of applicable procedures, including any appeal by the Company of the NYSE
