  • CBOT Sept. Volume At 30,157,901, Up 53.2% From 2001

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced September 2002 trading volume of 30,157,901 contracts, up 53.2% from September 2001 and up 33.9% year-to-date (YTD) at 253,004,629. Third quarter 2002 volume was 99,880,237, the highest quarterly volume recorded in exchange history, eclipsing second quarter 2002 volume of 81,885,774 contracts.

  • Amendments To NYBOT's Coffee Speculative Position Limit

    The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®)announced today amendments to its speculative position limit rule for the Coffee "C" futures and options contracts traded on its Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange, Inc. (CSCE). The new changes to the rule, which are effective October 7, 2002, create Position Accountability rules for the futures and options contracts.

(CME) surpassed in nine months the exchange's all-time record annual volume of 411.7 million contracts set in 2001.
