KCBT Sets New November Records - Exchange, Wheat Futures Volume Set New Records

During the month of November, the KCBT traded more contracts than in any previous November. A total of 353,159 contracts were traded, breaking the previous record of 331,002 contracts traded in 2002 by 6.7 percent.

For the week of November 24th - November 28th, 2003, total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) reached 906 thousand contracts and 6 326 million rubles, compared with 966 thousand contracts and 6 233 million rubles the week before. Total open interest as of November 28th, 2003, equaled 4 738 million rubles and 737 thousand contracts (as of November 14th, 2003, the numbers were 4 185 million rubles and 652 thousand contracts).
Eurex Turns Over 74.5 Million Contracts In November - 949 Million Contracts Traded And Cleared In 2003 - 27 Percent Increase, Year On Year - Eurex Bonds Shows 37 Percent Growth

Eurex, the international derivatives market, traded and cleared 74.5 million contracts in November. Eurex market participants connected to Eurex worldwide from over 700 locations have turned over a total of 949 million contracts in 2003 to date, a 27 percent increase over the previous year's January to November volume and/or 202 million contracts higher, year on year.

Deutsche Börse: 269 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges In November

The aggregate turnover statistics show that a total volume of 269.9 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges in November 2003 - about five percent higher than the previous year's level in monthly turnover (November 2002: 257.3 billion euros). The total comprises 216 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 53.9 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) reported today that exchange-wide November trading volume totaled 44.6 million contracts. November average daily volume was 2.3 million*, a 9 percent increase over year-ago levels. Year-to-date volume is 584.2 million, already surpassing the exchange's 2002 annual volume record of 558.4 million.

The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for November 2003 was cash settled on December 1 at a final settlement price of 99.004, for an average daily effective federal funds rate of 0.996 percent during the delivery month. CBOE Registers Volume Gain For Third Consecutive Month

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, announced today that volume at CBOE during November totaled 23,084,363 contracts, a rise of 7% when compared to the year-ago level. This marked the third consecutive month that exchange volume at CBOE posted a gain over the 2002 total.
