Today the Securities and Exchange Commission announced the first posting by market centers of publicly available monthly reports of execution quality for listed securities. Rule 11Ac1-5, the order execution quality disclosure rule, requires each market center to make its execution quality files available for downloading at a free internet site that is readily accessible to the public. SEC: Bank of America Corp. Agrees To Commission Order Finding That It Violated Reporting And Disclosure Requirements

The Commission today initiated a settled administrative action, in which it found that BankAmerica Corp. (now known as Bank of America Corp.) improperly accounted for a business relationship it had with D.E. Shaw & Co., L.P. and related entities, and that BankAmerica made misleading filings with the Commission about the market risks presented by this relationship. Bank of America Corp. consented to a settlement of this action without admitting or denying the Commission's findings.

Eurex, the international derivatives market, will start trading U.S. stock options in euros on September 24, 2001. In addition to the already announced options on Cisco Systems, IBM, Intel and Microsoft, Eurex will offer options on the shares of AOL Time Warner, Citigroup, EMC, General Electric, Oracle and Sun Microsystems.
