Cincinnati Stock Exchange Surpasses Boston, Chicago, And American Exchanges

In the first significant challenge to Nasdaq's dominance, The Cincinnati Stock Exchange has captured 10% of shares and 20% of trades in Nasdaq-listed issues. During the month of March, thanks to the addition of Island ECN as a customer, CSE's overall volume averaged almost 170 million shares a day. This makes Cincinnati the third largest equity market in the country, surpassing the Boston, Chicago, and American Stock Exchanges.

Toronto Stock Exchange Amends Corporate Governance Guidelines

The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) today announced changes to its Guidelines for effective corporate governance. The TSX Venture Exchange also announced that Tier I issuers listed on TSX Venture will be required to disclose to their shareholders on an annual basis information about their corporate governance practices and processes, including why they believe their practices and processes are appropriate and effective for their organization.

Singapore Exchange (SGX): Temporary Suspension From 0953 To 1010 hrs

A technical glitch in our ASX price feed receiver affected the display of prices in certain counters on the SGX buying-in and odd-lot markets. However, the underlying trading in these markets was not affected, nor was there any impact on the ready market. Nevertheless, as a matter of prudence, we decided to suspend the securities market at 0953 hrs to refresh the price display on SESOPS. Trading was resumed at 1010 hrs
