CME Announces New Market Data Feed, Including Order Book Information

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) announced that it will launch the next generation of its market data feed for all CME market data in the third quarter. The new data feed will provide for increased capacity and will include order book information, either top of book or market depth. Additionally, CME will make historical data available on its Web site, www.cme.com.

CBOT's June Volume At 29,030,559 Contracts - Up 44.4% from 2001

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced trading volume of 29,030,559 contracts for June 2002, up 44.4% from June 2001, and up 20.9% year-to-date (YTD) at 153,124,392. June 2002 volume was the third-highest monthly total in exchange history. In addition, total exchange volume in the second quarter of 2002 was the highest quarterly volume ever with 81,885,774 contracts, breaking the previous high of 76,239,744 contracts traded in the third quarter of 1998.

CBOE Index Volume Up 31% In June

Trading in broad-based indexes continued to post gains at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) with total index volume of 7,611,008 contracts (3,277,667 calls and 4,333,341 puts) traded in June, a 31% increase over June last year. Through the end of June, year-to-date total index volume totaled 39,025,252 contracts (16,818,038 calls and 22,207,214 puts) traded, a 10% increase over the 35,474,915 contracts traded during the same period last year.
