HEX: A Committee To Renew Corporate Governance Recommendation

HEX Group, the Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland and the Confederation of Finnish Industry and Employers (TT) have nominated a committee to review the corporate governance recommendation for Finnish listed companies given by the Central Chamber of Commerce and TT in 1997. The Committee will propose amendments to the recommendation.

Futures & Options On RTS Stock Exchange: Weekly Data

For the week of February 10th - February 14th, 2003, total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on RTS) equaled 742 thousand contract, or 3 190 million rubles in underlying value, the 17% growth over 636 thousand contracts last week (in ruble denomination the increase reached 25%). The number of trades reached 17 965, 11% on last week's 16 024 trades. Total open interest, as of February 14, 2003, increased by 3% in contracts to 374 thousand contracts and 9% in rubles to 1,631 million ruble

Eurex Is Offering Two New Equity Options On Swiss SMI Equities

Eurex, the international derivatives market, is further expanding its product portfolio in equity-based derivatives. As of February 24, 2003, the world's leading equity options market will offer two new equity options on Baloise Holding and SGS Holding including LEPOs (Low Exercise Price Options). As in the case of all options at Eurex, the options in Baloise and SGS are supported by professional market-making in order to ensure the necessary underlying liquidity in the new products.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: After the close of trading on Friday, February 14, 2003, Del Roca Energy Ltd. (TSXVN:DRQ) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The shares of the company will be delisted from the exchange at that time. The company has been acquired by Tusk Energy Inc.
