Montréal Exchange - The Growth Continues - Total Volume Up 21 % Summary Statistical Report 2003

Bourse de Montréal Inc. (Montréal Exchange) traded 17.7 million derivatives contracts in 2003, which is a 21% increase over the 14.6 million contracts traded in 2002. Trading volume is up 40% since the Montréal Exchange became fully automated two years ago.

Prosperi fills a key leadership role in CME's newly created Marketing and Public Relations Division announced in October 2003. In his new position, Prosperi will oversee CME's communications, and corporate and public relations functions. CME is currently recruiting for a Chief Marketing Officer, to whom Prosperi will report.

Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) officials today expressed disappointment and concern regarding the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) approval of the Boston Options Exchange (BOX) proposal to trade listed options. CBOE had made its concerns known to the SEC in comment letters filed prior to the SEC's decision.
