    Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, May 13, 2003. Pursuant to a special resolution passed by shareholders on September 30, 2002, Globaltex Industries Inc. (TSXVN:GTX) has changed its name to Pine Valley Mining Corporation. The new ticker symbol will be "PVM" and the new CUSIP number will be 72301P 10 9. There is no consolidation of capital.

    Trading yesterday in the Kansas City Board of Trade wheat futures and wheat options contracts was active, leading the wheat options contract to set a new single-day record of 11,374 contracts. The previous record of 9,530 contracts was set on June 6, 2002.
