Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, June 30, 2004: As part of an amalgamation with Radius Explorations Ltd. (TSXVN:RDU), Pilagold Inc. (TSXVN:PRI) will be removed from the index. The newly merged company will be renamed Radius Gold Inc. and will continue to trade under the ticker symbol “RDU.”

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Friday, July 2, 2004: On June 22, 2004, the shareholders of Nexfor Inc. OMHEX And APX Close UKPX Deal

In December 2003, APX and OMHEX signed an agreement regarding the acquisition of the business activities of the UK Power Exchange (UKPX) from OMHEX's subsidiary OM London Exchange. Following the settlement of operational and regulatory matters with the London-based Financial Services Authority being kept fully informed and advised, the deal has now been closed.
