Euronext.liffe's White Sugar futures and options contracts set a new all-time monthly traded volume record of 141,872 contracts in March 2004, breaking the previous record of 130,155 contracts set in January 2004.

Euronext.liffe Takes The Lead In Global Short-Term Interest Rate Products

For the first month ever, in March 2004, Euronext.liffe traded more short-term interest rate (STIR) futures and options contracts than any other exchange in the world, with a total volume of 36.1 million contracts.

Eurex Achieves Record Turnover In March With Over 117 Million Contracts - Eurex Closes Q1 With Record Number Of Contracts - Around 290 Million - Record Turnover In Equity-Based Derivates And Euro-Bobl And Euro-Schatz Futures

For Eurex, March 2004 was the most successful month in the history of the international derivates market. Eurex broke the existing record achieved in March 2003 (106 million contracts) by around 11 million contracts, or 10 percent, bringing monthly turnover up to over 117 million contracts. In Q1 2004, the world's largest derivatives market turned over around 290 million contracts, outperforming Q1 2003 (265 million contracts) by nine percent.

Dow Jones Changes the Composition of the Dow Jones Industrial Average; Three Component Stocks Will Be Replaced

Deutsche Börse: Equities Turnover In March Up By 52 Percent Month-On-Month - Total Turnover On German Stock Exchanges Of EUR370 Billion - Record Number Of Transactions On Xetra

The trading volume on Germany's stock exchanges increased substantially in March. Order book statistics, which are based on single counting of all transactions in the order book of Xetra and floor trading, show that the German stock exchanges generated an equities turnover of €112.13 billion- around 32 percent more than in the previous month and 52 percent more than in March 2003. €104.91 billion of this total relates to trading in German equities, with foreign equities accounting for €

CBOE Volume Gains For Seventh Consecutive Month, March Up 43%; - Holds Top Spot Among U.S. Options Exchanges

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, announced today that March volume totaled 32,953,769 contracts traded, an increase of 43% over the March 2003 volume of 23,041,783 contracts.
