Minneapolis Grain Exchange Announces Exchange For Risk (EFR) In Spring Wheat And Hard Winter Wheat Index Futures - Record March Volume

Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) owners have approved rules that allow Exchange For Risk (EFR) transactions in hard red spring wheat and Hard Winter Wheat Index (HWI) futures. An implementation date for EFRs will be announced subsequent to MGEX's filing of the rules with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and completion of internal programming.

Cash products There has been a strong increase in activity in cash trading in the first quarter of the year, when 42 million transactions were completed: up 15.5% on the same period of 2003. A daily average of 653,000 transactions were completed between January and March: an increase of 14% on the first quarter in 2003. There have been five IPOs on Euronext so far this year: Iliad, Belgacom, Euromedis Groupe, Hammerson Plc. and Grupo Media Capital, with a total amount of 3.9

Kansas City Board Of Trade March Volume Best In Exchange History For Calendar Month

Kansas City Board of Trade volume for the month of March was the largest in exchange history for the calendar month. A new March record was set for the exchange as a whole, the wheat futures contract and the wheat options contract.

ISE Lists Options On The Morgan Stanley Technology Index Exchange Continues Expansion Into Index Options Market

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that options on the Morgan Stanley Technology Index (MSH) were listed for trading in bin 7 on a March expiration cycle with position and exercise limits of 31,500 contracts. Timber Hill LLC, a unit of Interactive Brokers LLC, is serving as the Primary Market Maker (PMM).

In March, the share trading at OMHEX's marketplaces amounted to EUR 63.5 billion, on a daily average EUR 2 762 million. It was the best month for Stockholmsbörsen since November 2001, the trading amounted on a daily average to EUR 1 787 million. At HEX Helsinki it was the best month since December 2002, the trading amounted to EUR 961 million on a daily average.
