Standard & Poor’s and CITIC Securities will make the following changes in the S&P/CITIC 50 and 300 Indices effective after the close of trading Tuesday October 25th, 2005: China Minsheng Banking Co., Ltd. Minneapolis Grain Exchange To Trade NCI By Open Outcry

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) announced that on Friday, November 4, the National Corn Index (NCI) will be available for trade by open outcry on the MGEX trading floor. NCI futures are currently traded electronically from 6:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and beginning November 4 will also trade from 9:20 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. by open outcry. NCI options are currently traded electronically from 6:32 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and will also be available for trade by open outcry from 9:20 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

KCBT Wheat Futures Volume Sets New Annual Record - More Than Two Months Remain To Build On Record

For the tenth time in 12 years, the Kansas City Board of Trade has set a new annual trading volume record in the hard red winter wheat futures contract. At the conclusion of Friday’s trade 2,893,314 contracts or 14.466 billion bushels had traded thus far in 2005. The previous record was set in 2004, at 2,883,370 contracts or 14.417 billion bushels. More than two months remain in the year to add to the record.
