    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, today announced that it will list options on the stock of Google Inc. (Nasdaq ticker symbol GOOG) on Friday, August 27, 2004, following certification by the Options Clearing Corporation. Google stock is expected to begin trading today.

  • UK’s Financial Services Authority Concludes Investigation Into Collins Stewart & Collins Stewart Tullett

    The Financial Services Authority has conducted an enforcement investigation into a number of allegations made against Collins Stewart Ltd and Collins Stewart Tullett Plc (formerly Collins Stewart Holdings Plc) by a former employee, Mr James Middleweek. These allegations have been widely reported in the media. The FSA has written to inform Collins Stewart of its conclusions and the investigation is now closed.

  • UK’s Financial Services Authority Statement Re Trading Activity In European Government Bonds

    The FSA has been making enquiries into the unusual trading activity initiated by Citigroup in European government bond and bond derivative markets on 2 August and has today launched a formal investigation. This investigation may lead to formal disciplinary proceedings under the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 but no decision on that can be taken until all the facts are clear.<

  • Successful Launch Of OM's CLICK XT Platform At Singapore Exchange Ltd.

    On August 16, Singapore Exchange Ltd. (SGX) successfully launched OM's CLICK XT(TM) as its new trading engine. The delivery agreement was signed in December 2003, resulting in a time to market of only eight months. The platform will be launched in two phases, starting with the derivatives market now and the securities market in 2005.
