Copenhagen Stock Exchange - Share Trading On The Copenhagen Stock Exchange Reached New Highs In The First Half Of 2005

Trading in Danish shares is booming. In the first six months of 2005 alone, share trading totaled DKK 420.4 billion, a rise of 39 per cent compared with the previous half-year record set in the first half of 2004 and a rise of 45 per cent on the second half of 2004. The value of average daily trading increased from DKK 2.5 billion in the first half of 2004 to DKK 3.4 billion. The other submarkets also saw increases in turnover compared with first half of 2004.

Cheuvreux Becomes A New Member Of Wiener Börse

Since 1st July 2005, the French banking institute Cheuvreux has joined Wiener Börse as a trading member. Wiener Börse succeeded in gaining 13 international investment banks as new direct trading members on Wiener Börse in the past one and a half years. Currently, 40% of all equity trading is accounted for by international trading members.

The Majority Of The Shareholders Of MTS Accept Euronext And Borsa Italiana’s Offer For 51% Of The Equity

The Supervisory Board of MTS S.p.A. is pleased to announce that the majority of the Shareholders of MTS have accepted the offer led by Euronext together with Borsa Italiana to become the owners of 51% of the MTS share capital, undertaking the commitment to a capital increase via subscription of new shares expressly reserved for Euronext and Borsa Italiana. The offer from the Euronext consortium is equivalent to €657.10 per share and values MTS S.p.A. at €245 million.

SWX Swiss Exchange: Winterthur Technology Ltd Opens At CHF 33.50

Shares in Swiss grinding machinery manufacturer Winterthur Technology Ltd were traded in the main segment of the SWX Swiss Exchange for the first time today. The issue price was set yesterday (Thursday) at CHF 33. The opening price on the SWX was CHF 33.50, which corresponds to a market capitalization of CHF 123 million. Winterthur Technology is included in the SPI EXTRA® as well as the SPI®.
