Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes To The S&P Global 100 Index

LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (France, SEDOL = 4061412, GICS Code: 25203010) will be added to the S&P Global 100 index after the close of trading on Monday, October 3. LVMH will replace Gillette in the S&P Global 100 index, which is being removed from the Index after this evening’s market close. Procter & Gamble is acquiring Gillette and the deal will close tomorrow.

When fiscal year 2006 starts tomorrow, Oct. 1, 2005, the Securities and Exchange Commission will operate under a continuing resolution that will extend through Nov. 18, 2005. During this period, fees paid under Section 6(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 and Sections 13(e), 14(g) and 31 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 will remain at their current rates.

NASD Fines David Lerner Associates $115,000 For Misleading Advertising And Communications With The Public - Firm President David Lerner And Sales Chief Also Fined; Firm Ordered Not To Conduct Public Seminars For 30 Days

NASD today announced that it has fined David Lerner Associates, Inc. (DLA) of Syosset, New York $115,000 for misleading marketing materials - including radio advertising, client seminars and other communications with the public. The firm was also ordered not to conduct any public seminar for 30 days. For six months, the firm must pre-file all sales literature and advertisements with NASD's Advertising Regulation Department at least 10 days prior to their first use.
