Marshall N. Carter Elected Chairman Of New York Stock Exchange - Three New Directors Elected - Six Incumbent Directors Re-Elected - New Board Of Executives Appointed; Results Of Proxy Proposals Announced

The New York Stock Exchange Board of Directors today elected Marshall N. Carter chairman. Mr. Carter, 64, has been an NYSE director since December 2003. Most recently, he has been a Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government Center for Public Leadership. From 1992-2001, Mr. Carter was chairman and CEO of the State Street Bank and Trust Co., and its holding company, State Street Corp.

Deutsche Börse Releases Letter To Christopher Hohn From TCI

Deutsche Börse has today published a letter sent by the company’s CEO Werner Seifert to Christopher Hohn, Managing Partner of The Children’s Investment Fund Management (TCI). TCI has called for an immediate and wholesale change in Deutsche Börse’s Supervisory Board. On March 22 Deutsche Börse announced an ongoing capital structure management program with significant distributions of funds to shareholders.
