  • Thai Bourse Approves Brokerage Fee Amendments

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Board of Governors approved changes to brokerage or agent’s fees and to marketing officers’ remuneration. Rules on brokerage fees will be applied in two periods, the first beginning on January 1, 2007, when normal trading will incur a minimum fee of 0.25% of trading turnover and internet trading fees will be 60% of the normal rate. The second period, starting from January 1, 2010, introduces a sliding scale starting with a minimum rate of 0.25% for trade

    Standard & Poor’s will make the following change in the S&P Global 100 Index effective after the close of trading on November 30, 2006. Société Générale (France, Sedol = 5966516) will replace Lucent Technologies (United States, Ticker: LU, Sedol = 2537573) in the S&P Global 100 after the close of trading on November 30, 2006.   • CBOT Full-Sized Silver Futures Sets Record Surpassing 11,000 Contracts

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that trading of its 5,000 oz Silver futures contract reached a new daily open interest record yesterday, hitting 11,000 contracts for the first time. This new record of 11,006 surpasses the previous record of 10,681 contracts set on November 14, 2006.
