Kansas City Board Of Trade Announces Expansion Of Electronic Trading Hours

The Kansas City Board of Trade will be expanding the time for electronic trading of its futures and options contracts by one hour effective Sunday night, October 9. Effectively, trading will start one hour earlier than the current schedule in all electronically traded contracts.

James Clarkson Named Acting District Administrator Of The SEC's Fort Worth District Office

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox today announced the appointment of James A. Clarkson as Acting District Administrator of the SEC's Fort Worth District Office. The office conducts examinations and enforcement activities in a four state area of the Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas).

The WIG, all-share index, closed at its highest ever level since its launch in April 1991. The market benchmark reached today the new all time high with 31,362.39 points. The previous record was set on August 9, 2005 with 31,320.17.

SeDeX, the Borsa Italiana’s securitised derivatives market (covered warrant and certificates), recorded in July a 339,5% increase in turnover in comparison with July 2004; the average daily turnover was equal to 201 million euro and the average daily number of contracts equal to 16.000 (+19% vs July 2004).
