  • NYSE New Listings And IPOs In 2005 Significantly Exceed Last Year’s

    This week's NYSE listing of China's Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (STC), which raised $395 million in its Dec. 14 Big Board debut and is now the largest entrepreneurial Chinese company listed in the U.S. markets, is one of 185 new listings on the Exchange in 2005 year-to-date. That’s an increase in new listings at the Exchange of 27, or 17% percent, on the 2004 year-to-date total of 158.

  • NYSE Hybrid Market<sup>SM</sup> Begins Pilot Introduction</B> - <em>New Customer Benefits Included In First Phase Of New Market Model</em>

    The New York Stock Exchange has begun the rollout of a pilot program to introduce the first phase of the NYSE Hybrid Market, a new market model designed to give customers the broadest choice of trade-execution preferences.

  • NYSE Hybrid Market - Phase I Pilot Securities

    The Exchange proposed to the SEC to put into operation Phase I of the Hybrid Market initiative with respect to a group of securities, known as Phase I Pilot securities ("Pilot securities"). The pilot commenced on December 15, 2005 and will terminate at the earlier of two milestones: either 90 days from commencement or on the date that the SEC gives approval to the Exchange's Hybrid Market proposal.

  • NYSE Announces Quarterly Changes To The NYSE Family Of Indexes

    The New York Stock Exchange will make the following changes to the NYSE U.S. 100, NYSE International 100, NYSE TMT and the NYSE World Leaders Indexes, effective Monday, Dec. 19 as a result of quarterly re-balancing.

  • Meeting Of The Board Of Oslo Børs On 16 December 2005

    At its meeting today, the Board of Oslo Børs resolved to admit shares in Scorpion Offshore Ltd., Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd., Aker Drilling ASA and Trefoil Ltd. to listing on Oslo Børs. The Board of Oslo Børs also resolved at this meeting to impose a violation charge of NOK 500,000 on Kaupthing ASA for breaches of the Trading Rules and the Stock Exchange Regulations.
