IPE Launches Electronic Mornings In Conjunction With Robust Floor Session
The International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) on Monday successfully began exclusive electronic trading of its benchmark Brent Crude contract until 2pm (UK Time). Robust floor trading continued from 2 pm until 7:30 pm. The screen remains open until 10 pm.

GL TRADE Turnover Of €110.2m In The Nine Months To End Of September 2004 - Up 18.5% At Constant Exchange Rates
GL TRADE achieved turnover of €110.2m in the first nine months of 2004, representing a 17.5% year-on-year rise unadjusted for movements in exchange rates and including the late 2003 acquisitions of MSTS and GLESIA. At constant exchange rates, the increase is 18.5%.

Euronext.Liffe Commodity Products Break Annual Traded Volume Record
Euronext.liffe’s Commodity Products have traded over 7 million contracts in the period January-October 2004, which breaks the previous record, set in 2003 with a full two months of trading activity remaining.

Euroclear Agrees Terms Of Full CIK Acquisition With Euronext
Euroclear and Euronext are pleased to announce that they have signed a Letter of Intent pertaining to the full acquisition by Euroclear of CIK, the central securities depository of Belgium that is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Euronext. The development represents another important milestone in the ongoing process of consolidating and rationalising Europe’s post-trade processing infrastructure. Component Changes Made To Dow Jones’ Australian, Asian, U.S. Indexes- News Corp. Will Be Added To Dow Jones U.S. Indexes
On October 26, 2004, News Corporation announced that their shareholders and option holders had approved the company’s reincorporation into the U.S. from Australia. This corporate action requires adjustment of the following indexes: Dow Jones Australia Titans 30; Dow Jones Asia Titans 50; Dow Jones Asia Titans ex Japan; Dow Jones Australia Total Market Index, Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index and its respective sector indexes; and the Dow Jones Wilshire Indexes.

CBOT® October Volume Increases 12.8 Percent From Last Year - Year-To-Date Exchange Volume Rises 29.5 Percent
The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) yesterday announced that total exchange volume continued its strong growth, reaching 47,830,745 contracts in October, up 12.8 percent from last year. Year-to-date (YTD) volume through October was up 29.5 percent to 494,383,000 from January through October last year. Average daily volume in October increased 23.6 percent to 2,277,655 contracts from October 2003 levels.
