It is pleasing to see interest in listing equities on ICEX growing substantially after a quiet period. Two new companies were listed last month, on the one hand the UK company Mosaic Fashions, which manufactures and sells fashion women’s clothing, and on the other hand the Faroese oil company Atlantic Petroleum. They make a welcome addition to the ICEX corporate flora. And there are additional new listings on the horizon, of both Icelandic and foreign companies, so that the outlook is for growt

Deutsche Boerse: Turnover On German Stock Exchanges Rose To EUR366 billion In September - 7.5 Million Transactions On Xetra

Based on the aggregate statistics, the €366.2 billion total volume traded on all German stock exchanges in September was 50 percent higher than last year’s level (September 2004: €244.6 billion). This total included €320.7 billion in equities, warrants and exchange traded funds, as well as €45.5 billion in fixed-income securities.

CBOE To Launch Jumbo-DJX Index Options On Tuesday, October 11, 2005

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that it will launch Jumbo-DJX index options based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. The Jumbo-DJX options (ticker symbol: DXL) will be 1/10th the value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, but ten times larger than the DJX options contract currently traded at CBOE.
