NYBOT To Carry 2005 Citrus Crop Forecast Live Over Its Website October 12

The annual Citrus Crop Forecast from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agriculture Statistics Service (USDA/NASS) will be webcast “live” over the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) website at 8:30 a.m. (EDT), Wednesday October 12, 2005. The crop forecast event, which is produced by the Southeast AgNet Radio Network, is the latest in the Exchange’s Live on the Web program.

The Securities Industry Association and the Bond Market Association today issued a letter strongly opposing proposals contained in a draft white paper authored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that would effectively end auditor participation in the so-called “due diligence” process, thus seriously jeopardizing investor protection.
