NYBOT To Carry 2005 Citrus Crop Forecast Live Over Its Website October 12

The annual Citrus Crop Forecast from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agriculture Statistics Service (USDA/NASS) will be webcast “live” over the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) website at 8:30 a.m. (EDT), Wednesday October 12, 2005. The crop forecast event, which is produced by the Southeast AgNet Radio Network, is the latest in the Exchange’s Live on the Web program.

New Auditor White Paper Jeopardizes Investors Say Both The Securities Industry Association And Bond Market Association - Proposal Would Undermine 70 Years Of Investor Protection

The Securities Industry Association and the Bond Market Association today issued a letter strongly opposing proposals contained in a draft white paper authored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that would effectively end auditor participation in the so-called “due diligence” process, thus seriously jeopardizing investor protection. The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that on Thursday, October 6, volume in CBOT mini-sized DowSM futures set a new record of 186,544 contracts, exceeding the previous record of 176,712 contracts set on April 15, 2005.
