SWX Swiss Exchange Management Transactions: Investigation Opened Against Swisscom AG

The SWX Swiss Exchange has instituted a formal investigation against Swisscom AG on the grounds of a possible breach of Art. 74a of the Listing Rules (disclosure of management transactions). The preliminary enquiries conducted by the SWX found that Art. 74a of the Listing Rules may have been infringed with regard to compliance with reporting deadlines. Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Friday, April 7, 2006: Brookfield Asset Management Inc. SEC Files Emergency Action To Stop Ongoing Microcap Stock Fraud

The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed an emergency enforcement action in federal court charging two New York men, Faisal Zafar and Sameer Thawani, with perpetrating an ongoing securities fraud over the Internet. The complaint alleges that since late 2004 and as recently as March 2006, Zafar and Thawani have engaged in a "pump and dump" scheme to manipulate the market for at least 24 thinly traded "microcap" or "smallcap" stocks. The OMX Annual General Meeting (AGM) convened earlier today in Stockholm and voted in favor of all resolutions proposed at the meeting, including: The AGM approved the distribution of a dividend of SEK 6.50 to shareholders, comprising of a regular dividend of SEK 3.00 per share and an extra dividend of SEK 3.50 per share. The record date was determined as April 11, 2006. The dividend is scheduled to be distributed on April 18, 2006.

As an element in the creation of the Nordic exchange, OMX launches new Nordic real-time information products. The vendors of market information to private investors get real-time prices from the OMX exchanges in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki at the lowest prices in Europe.
