Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Friday, October 21, 2005: On October 19, 2005, the results of the tender offer by TUI AG to acquire shares of CP Ships Ltd. (TSX:TEU) were announced. A total of 89.1% of the shares of CP Ships Ltd. were tendered to the offer. SEC Advisory Committee On Smaller Public Companies Plans Washington Meeting

The Securities and Exchange Commission's Advisory Committee on Smaller Public Companies has announced plans for a two-day meeting in Washington, D.C., on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 24 and 25, 2005. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss possible recommendations for inclusion in the Committee's final report to the Commission.

A regular seat sold on the New York Stock Exchange today for $2,900,000, up $50,000 from the previous regular seat sale yesterday. Today’s seat sale is $100,000 less than the record seat sale of $3,000,000 set on August 3, 2005.
