No Changes To FTSE 100 At UK Quarterly Review

FTSE Group, the global index provider, has today confirmed that there are to be no changes to the FTSE 100 index following the latest UK indices quarterly review. This has been approved by the FTSE Europe, Middle East and Africa committee which met today. This is the first time there have been no changes to the blue chip index at a review since March 1996.

Eurex, the world's largest derivatives exchange, announced today a new daily volume record was reached on March 7, 2006, with 10,466,682 contracts traded. Yesterday's figure was 17.8 percent higher than the previous daily volume record of 8,885,684 contracts, set on June 15, 2005. The average daily trading volume on Eurex in 2006 is 5.7 million contracts.
NASDAQ Begins Distributing New Monthly Market Statistics Reflecting Consolidated Performance For Its Trading Platforms - NYSE-Listed Market Share Increased From 15.9% To 21.4% In One-Year Period

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq(R)) (Nasdaq: NDAQ) today announced its consolidated market performance statistics for the NASDAQ Market Center, INET and Brut trading platforms. NASDAQ expects to make these monthly performance statistics public on the second Monday of each month, and will disclose market statistics available for the first time, including matched and touched market share in NASDAQ and NYSE-listed securities.
MTS Poland Achieves Record Volumes As Participant Base Expands

MTS Poland is pleased to announce that the turnover in 2005 recorded an increase of 130% compared with the figures in respect of 2004. Trading activity inevitably benefited from the addition of eight new dealers, which brought the total number of participants in the platform to 25 as of 31 December, 2005, a figure that has since risen to 26.

London Stock Exchange: Trading On SETS hits new record in February

Trading on SETS, the London Stock Exchange's electronic order book, continued to show very strong growth during February 2006, reaching new record levels. The average daily value traded on SETS was up 43 per cent on February 2005 to £5.8 billion and the average daily number of trades was up 35 per cent to 266,577 – both new records.

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) announces that Linklaters has been registered by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to operate as an Ancillary Service Provider from the DIFC. Following receipt of the necessary licences, Linklaters' Dubai office formally opened at the end of February in The Gate Building in the DIFC.
