  • Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) Launches Three New Products

    Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) announced the launch of three new products and introduction of two new measures on March 27. 2006. The new products are MSCI Taiwan IndexSM Futures, MSCI Taiwan IndexSM Options and Gold Futures contracts, all of which are designed as US dollar-denominated. MSCI Taiwan IndexSM Futures, MSCI Taiwan IndexSM Options will complement the existing TAIFEX’s NT dollar-denominated TAIEX Futures and Options contracts.

  • SWX Swiss Exchange:The Shares Of Partners Group Holding (PGHN) Open At CHF 79.95

    Today, the shares of Partners Group, a Swiss asset manager, were traded in the main market of the SWX Swiss Exchange for the first time. The issue price was set yesterday, Thursday, at CHF 63 and thus in the upper range of the previously determined pricing corridor of CHF 56 to CHF 67. The opening price on the SWX Swiss Exchange today stood at CHF 79.95, which corresponds to a market capitalisation of CHF 2,134.7 million. Partners Group is included in both the SPI® and the SPI EXTRA®.

  • SWX Swiss Exchange: Professor Peter Gomez Proposed As Chairman Of The Board

    At its extraordinary meeting held today, the Board of Directors of the SWX Swiss Exchange proposed Prof. Dr. Peter Gomez as its new Chairman. His formal election to the Board will be accomplished by the General Assembly of the SWX Swiss Exchange Association on 5 May 2006.

    On April 3, 2006, the Nordic Exchange OMX in cooperation with the exchanges in Oslo and Reykjavik launches a new index family – the VINX. The purpose of the VINX indexes is to reflect the development in the region in a reliable and predictable manner and to highlight the overall investment opportunities.
